Will it rain in Phoenix? Wet, cool weather forecast for Phoenix and Flagstaff

I grab an umbrella and coat it on my way to work on Thursday morning.

The day was expected to start with clear skies, but the shower was predicted to reach Metro Phoenix after 1pm.

The strong weather system, which drenched parts of California, was expected to move around the region Thursday.

Meteorologist Ted Whitlock said the chances of rain in Metro Phoenix on Thursday were 100%.

Thursday was expected to begin primarily with clear skies and southwest winds blowing between 10 and 15 mph. High temperatures were forecast for around 69 degrees on Thursday. According to weather services, dust was expected to start between 2pm and 3pm.

In the afternoon, the Meteorological Bureau is expected to move south between 15-20 mph, with gusts reaching 35 mph. The Phoenix Metro wind advice was expected to take effect Thursday afternoon.

Phoenix residents should be aware of difficult driving conditions, strong gusts of wind that lead to objects being airborne and lead to reduced visibility due to dust and sand blowing, the weather department said.

By Thursday evening, it was predicted that the shower would be slower by 11pm. Weather services are expected to be clearer with mostly cloudy skies and gradually become clear by midnight.

Thursday night was refreshing with 10-15 mph West Southwest winds and was expected to drop to 5-10 mph after midnight. The temperature was expected to be around 43 degrees on Thursday.

Is it snowing in Flagstaff?

The Winter Storm Warning came into effect in Flagstaff on Thursday and was expected to take effect for the rest of the night, according to Flagstaff’s National Weather Service. The high on Thursday was expected to be near 39 degrees.

A meteorologist with the Meteorological Bureau said in the release that widespread rain and snow are expected to begin late Thursday morning and continue until Thursday night. Winds are expected to gusts between 40 and 45 mph before decreasing on Friday.

Snow showers were expected to start after 11am in Flagstaff. There is a 90% chance of rain in Flagstaff on Thursday. Weather services have been added to allow snow to accumulate during the day.

On Thursday, a southerly wind blows between 20 and 25 miles may be refreshing.

A snow shower was expected in Flagstaff on Thursday evening. The lowest was predicted to be about 21 degrees, with 100% precipitation. Thursday nights should be refreshing as southwest winds are 17-22 mph and 4-8 inches of new snow can accumulate.
