Man…this made me reconsider my bet on the Chiefs.
If Drake's Curse were indeed real, I'd be feeling pretty good right now as a San Francisco 49ers fan. Because my guy not only bet on the Kansas City Chiefs winning Super Bowl III, he left the boat behind. They have a lot of money at stake.
Whether it's a bet or a simple association, the rap icon has “taunted” both players and teams. As funny as that may sound, there is actually some truth to this.
For example, when rumors were flying about a two-way MLB superstar. Shohei Otani Drizzy posted a photo of himself wearing an Ohtani jersey on social media during a game against the Blue Jays in his hometown of Toronto. As everyone knows, he ended up signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers. (Related: PETA issues Super Bowl warning: Don't eat the chicken wings)
Back in October, he was betting that he would win well. $850,000 Logan Paul defeated Dillon Danis by knockout, but Paul went on to win by disqualification and Drake lost his bet.
And now we're at the Super Bowl. Kansas City fans should be fed up.
In case you didn't know, Drake has partnered with Stake, a gambling company that operates on cryptocurrencies. Now, on the app, Drake bet a whopping $1.15 million on the Chiefs to become Super Bowl LVIII champions.
Oh, and this was clearly Taylor Swift's fault.
“You can't bet on Swifty,” Drake wrote in an Instagram caption.
I don't think it's what Chiefs fans wanted to watch before bed…
