SEDONA, Ariz. — Wings and Wheels will return to the Sedona Airport on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to be able to do helicopter tours,” said Jamie Beers, Sedona base manager for Guidance Air, a longtime helicopter tour operator. We hope to have a large crowd this year, with many taking their first helicopter ride and enjoying the amazing views Sedona has to offer. ”
A variety of aircraft are scheduled for this year’s event. From World War II-era military aircraft to modern airplanes, helicopters, and gyrocopters housed at the Plains of Fame Aviation Museum. In addition to all of the static display aircraft, the Sedona Car Club will display some of the area’s most interesting automobiles. In addition to aircraft and classic cars, there will also be helicopter, balloon and airplane flights, family entertainment, food vendors and craft raffles.
This year’s event will directly benefit the Sedona Community Food Bank. We recommend one non-perishable food donation per person at the gate. QR codes will also be available for visitors to donate money directly to food banks. “Let’s all join together in the fight against hunger in our communities,” said Kathleen Healy-Viza, executive director of the Sedona Community Food Bank.
“We have great sponsors and it would be difficult to run this community event without them,” said Airport General Manager Ed Rose. Thank you to Guidance Air, Abfuel, Red Rock Balloon Adventures, Sedona Car Rentals, Sky Ranch Lodge, and the many other sponsors who made this event available to the public. Visit the airport’s website for more information about raffles, parking and other attractions. Enjoy a day of fun, aviation, classic cars, beautiful scenery, and great prizes at America’s most scenic airport high above the city.
