FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Arizonans, don't put away your winter gear just yet. A fast-paced winter weather system is bringing snow and rain to northern Arizona.

Low clouds, areas of fog, and scattered showers are seen over most of the area Thursday night, but heavier precipitation and precipitation is developing from Seligman to the Grand Canyon south of Page and rapidly moving southeast. . According to the National Weather Service.

Rain is expected to turn to heavy snow across the South Rim, with the heaviest snow accumulations expected to occur in the higher elevations of the Kaibab Plateau and Chuska Mountains. Winter weather warnings are in effect for both regions.
