Woman Attacks DC Police Officer — But Quickly Wishes She Hadn’t

Assault on Police Officer at Metropolitan Police Station

A woman who assaulted a police officer at the Metropolitan Police Station faced swift actions, captured in a video shared on X. This incident occurred shortly after President Donald Trump announced the National Guard’s deployment and a federal takeover of the MPD in a bid to combat crime in the area.

The video shows a woman running toward an MPD officer and seemingly punching him. Shortly after, another officer pushed the suspect into a police car for detention. Bystanders were advised to “retreat” as the situation escalated.

Prior to this event, D.C. attorney Johnine Piro had warned of escalating violence. In a post on X, she noted that the woman who attacked the officer had been charged, along with another person arrested for throwing a subway sandwich at law enforcement.

Piro remarked, “The president’s message to criminals was clear: ‘If you spit, we were a hit.'” She recounted a separate incident where an individual aggressively confronted a federal officer and attacked him, even throwing a subway sandwich, which led to felony charges.

In other related news, Eric Tarpinian Yachim, an intern for Kansas Republican Rep. Ron Estes, was tragically shot and killed on June 30. Additionally, two employees of the Israeli Embassy lost their lives in a shooting allegedly orchestrated by Prohama activists.

Despite claims from some Democrats indicating a significant reduction in violent crime rates—suggesting a roughly one-third drop—MPD data has come under scrutiny. Allegations of data manipulation by MPD official Michael Pulliam have emerged, according to reports.

As of now, Piro has not provided a response to inquiries concerning these developments.
