LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A man has been charged with second-degree murder after a go-kart and all-terrain vehicle crash Friday killed a woman, investigators said.
At 1:36 a.m., the Mojave County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the Driftwood and Boathouse Drive area of Meadview, Arizona. A dispatcher received a call regarding a collision between an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a go-kart of his type.
Investigators ruled that the collision “was a criminal act, not just a vehicle crash.” The two operators involved were involved in previous relationships. The ATV operator was identified as Sally Minard, 32, of Meadview and taken to a Las Vegas hospital, where she died.
The go-kart driver was identified by investigators as Meadview resident John Stetler, 40, and arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder through domestic violence.
Stetler was taken to the Mojave County Adult Detention Facility. Lawmakers said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
