SEDONA, Ariz. — A woman died over the weekend while hiking with her family on an Arizona trail, authorities said.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said a 44-year-old woman from Pennsylvania suffered a medical emergency Friday while walking on the Highline Trail in Sedona with her husband and two young daughters.

YCSO forest patrol responded to the scene after the woman lost consciousness while hiking.
Another hiker attempted life-saving measures on the woman before Sedona Fire Department personnel arrived and continued to resuscitate her, but were unable to save her life, according to the sheriff's office.
“She appears to have had heat stroke. [and] According to the sheriff's office, “he was not treated quickly enough.”
YCSO said the woman's death does not appear to be suspicious.
