Woman Drives Stolen Government Car From Arizona To California: PD

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif. — A woman was arrested Thursday and held at the Napa County Jail after police officers in American Canyon discovered she was driving a stolen government vehicle.

Around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, officers found a white Ford Taurus sedan with Arizona license plates in the 800 block of Reliant Way. When the police requested information on the vehicle’s license plate, it turned out to be that of a Dodge Ram truck.

Police stopped a woman on suspicion of driving a stolen car and detained her.

A look at the Taurus’ vehicle identification number details it to be a government-owned vehicle that was reported stolen last week in Navajo County, Arizona.

The woman was taken to the Napa County jail where she was fingerprinted.

Authorities soon learned that she had provided officers with a false name in her initial contact and had used about 50 aliases and multiple Social Security numbers in the past, American Canyon Police said.

The woman was eventually identified by fingerprints as 68-year-old Angela Judah from Daytona Beach, Florida.

Judah was incarcerated in the Napa County Jail on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, receiving stolen goods, and providing false identification to a police officer.

A search of local prison records on Friday revealed that Judas was released from custody on Thursday afternoon.
