A woman was reportedly shot Wednesday after a funeral in southeastern Washington, D.C.
The Metropolitan Police Department said it had responded to a report of a shooting at a church in the city. Fox 5. Funeral attendees heard gunshots as they tried to leave the New Macedonian Baptist Church.

A woman was allegedly shot dead after the two had an altercation after the funeral. 7 News DC report. The media tweeted that the two allegedly involved in the altercation were at the funeral. (Related: Elderly woman shot dead in house while planning son’s funeral)
The alleged victim is reportedly in stable condition at the time of writing.

Fox 5 reported that the incident was the third funeral-related shooting in the area in recent months. In one such instance, in early June, a funeral company owner allegedly shot dead several people during a funeral near Washington, DC.
