Nick Saban and James Spann are two of Alabama's most iconic figures, and it seems some people have bigger ideas for the football coach and meteorologist, who are known to have a great deal of respect for each other's work.
As Spann was making his funny and blunt suggestion to a group of kindergarteners that they should run for office together, someone gave him a very special gift.
“Spann Saban '24” at least sounds good.
The ever-humble Spann added that in a strange hypothetical world in which he and Saban were running for office, he would have to reverse his name and call him “Saban Spann.”

“I received this hat as a gift today while visiting preschoolers in the ELI program at the University of Alabama Gadsden Center. If we were on any list, we would definitely need to swap names…” Spann wrote.
The chances of either of them running for office are probably close to zero, but it's certainly an interesting hypothesis.
