WILLIAMS, Arizona — The Williams Unified School District has announced changes to its upcoming WUSD Steering Committee meeting. The meeting will be held on May 17th at 6:00 pm at the Viking Grill at 440 S. 7th Street.
WUSD posted a response to the April 25 bullying accusation. Several parents are expected to address the issue at the conference.
According to WUSD, the school district has received multiple inquiries from concerned community members regarding the safety measures in place to protect students, including disciplinary procedures mandated by state and federal law.
“While many of the questions relate to investigations of individual students, please understand that WUSD cannot discuss specific investigations to ensure due process and student rights through the Federal Protection of Education Rights Act (FERPA). Please stay tuned,” WUSD said in a statement.
All WUSD Board meetings are open to the public, but public participation is at the discretion of the Board. Those wishing to make an announcement should complete a “Request to Address” document under the steering committee section of her website at WUSD2.org.
