WWE Legend Jerry Lawler Suffers Stroke
Reports indicate that legendary WWE star Jerry Lawler experienced a stroke on September 5th while in Florida. His ex-fiancée and caregiver shared with TMZ that the 75-year-old was at home during this medical emergency. Lawler’s daughter is said to be relocating him to his primary residence for a few weeks of rest and recovery.
During his recovery in Fort Myers, Lawler communicated through a post on his X account. It mentioned that while his speech was somewhat limited, rehabilitation is expected to lead to a full recovery. The post expressed gratitude for continued prayers and mentioned he hopes to return soon.
Details about the severity of his stroke remain sparse, and it’s still uncertain if he was alone at the time of the incident.
Known affectionately to fans as “King,” Lawler had to cancel a planned appearance for health reasons. Organizers announced that he would not be part of Cincinnati’s Horror Hound weekend lineup due to “personal issues,” just days before the event.
This isn’t the first time Lawler has faced health challenges. He previously suffered a major stroke in 2023 but was released from the hospital shortly after for outpatient rehabilitation. Back in 2018, he had another stroke, and in 2012, he experienced a heart attack during a live broadcast of WWE’s “Monday Night Raw.” His last television appearance was in February, when he taped WWE “SmackDown” in Tennessee.
