“As Yavapai County celebrates National Mentoring Month, we are excited to enter the new year with a focus on mentoring relationships that are interconnected to the growth of learning and collaboration among all individuals involved,” said Erin, Executive Director of YBBBS. Mabery shared, “I am proud to share the wealth of knowledge and compassion of this wonderful county. I invite you to join us with our 100 amazing volunteers.”

YBBBS participated in the Be Bold Be Big recruitment campaign. This campaign focuses on the current need for male mentors (Big Brothers). YBBBS encourages both Big Women and Big Men to sign up, but the list of young men waiting to be matched is sizable.

Throughout the month, YBBBS will share the importance of mentoring and the very positive impact it has on young people’s personal growth and development. More than ever, the need for men to step up for local youth will be emphasized. The Be Bold Be Big campaign includes network television, local radio and digital media throughout Arizona.

The YBBBS core model focuses on building bridges in the community by connecting one adult and one child and supporting their matching every step of the way. This organization focuses on the potential of children and the role of positive adults in helping them achieve the best possible future.
