The ULTA Beauty team at the Prescott Valley store was able to raise more than $1,600 for Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters (YBBBS), the result of a four-week nationwide fundraising campaign run by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and ULTA Beauty in May and June.

“We are honored to partner with our local Prescott Valley ULTA Beauty store and thank our amazing staff and customers for their dedication to our mission of building and supporting one-on-one mentoring relationships that inspire the power and potential of young people,” said Kristen Karns, YBBBS Executive Director.
“Today, our young people face difficult challenges, from mental health crises to inequality. These issues are complex, but mentorship is proven to play a critical role in helping young people realize their potential.”
For over 50 years, YBBBS has provided adult mentors to more than 12,000 youth in Yavapai County through community, family and school-based matches.
Nationwide, the partnership has raised $2.4 million and helped reach hundreds of thousands of young people across the country.
Mentorship has proven results:
• 92% of Littles feel their match gives them a sense of belonging.
• 94% of Littles feel they have a special adult in their life they can rely on.
• 92% of Littles report feeling confident about completing their schoolwork.
• 84% of Littles saw improvements in their grades, academic goals and self-confidence.
• 83% of Littles plan to graduate from high school and college.
• 82% of Littles maintained or improved their mental health while participating in the program.
