Yavapai College Bachelor of Business Degree Receives HLC Accreditation

Yavapai College received accreditation notice for Bachelor of Business degree from Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Notification of accreditation means the degree is now officially part of the College’s curriculum, and registration for Fall 2023 classes will begin on April 17.

Dr. Lisa Rhine, President of Yavapai College, said: “This degree will instantly change your life, reach a higher job level, raise your wages, start something new, grow your current one, and most importantly reduce your financial or travel burden. We want our students to graduate from YC and stay in Yavapai County.”

A Bachelor of Science in Business focuses on organizational management and leadership, which most people in all professions can find valuable. Concentration prepares students to become effective leaders of the workforce as managers, supervisors and team leaders.

Degree

120-credit Bachelor of Science in Business Degree:

  • It is intended for new students, current students, and graduates. It is open to those who have just graduated from high school, who do not have college, or who already have an associate’s degree in any field.
  • Offered entirely online.
  • Full-time students can complete the traditional pattern of 30 credits per year, taking four years to complete.
  • You can also complete it in an 8-week class, significantly reducing your time to completion. 8 week classes start in August, October, January, March and June
  • Incredibly affordable when compared to other bachelor’s degree options. A student pays $155 per credit for advanced course in-state tuition.
  • All classes use open educational resources, so there is no textbook cost for students.
  • There is no associated student fee.
  • Credit breakdown:
    • 31 credits of the General Education Requirement
    • 44 credits of subdivision requirements, an introductory business course
    • 30 credits for higher division requirements on 300 and 400 level courses
    • 15 credits for organizational management and leadership focus
