She plays a significant role in several local and national committees, including those associated with the American Association of Community Colleges’ Economic Workforce Development Committee.
“It’s an honor to be appointed to the board,” Dr. Line stated. “The Arizona Department of Commerce is pivotal in enhancing our state’s economy. I believe that Yavapai University, along with other community colleges, will considerably boost Arizona’s economy by equipping individuals with vital education and training across different sectors.”
The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) adopts a three-tiered strategy to foster economic growth: Recruitment, Growth, and Creation. This involves attracting out-of-state businesses, aiding existing firms in their expansion efforts, and collaborating with entrepreneurs to establish new ventures.
The ACA is managed by a broad public-private board comprising notable industry figures, academic leaders, and government officials, all of whom are dedicated to advancing Arizona’s economic landscape. Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs chairs this board.
The Executive Management Team of the ACA is tasked with overseeing daily operations, focusing on recruiting quality businesses and job opportunities in the state, leveraging their expertise in economic development and management.
The Arizona Community College Coordination Council aims to enhance public awareness of the vital roles community colleges play. Through advocacy and strategic partnerships, they work to advance educational initiatives that make a significant impact. More information can be found online at www.arizonacommunitycolleges.org.
