The Yavapai College women's basketball team continues to fight for the final spot in the regional playoffs with two games this weekend in Yuma, Arizona against the Arizona Western College Matadors.

YC and AWC will play on Friday, February 2nd at 5:30pm and Saturday at 2pm. Both games will also be streamed on: GoRoughriders.com/Live.

Arizona Western remains in second place in the ACCAC standings with an overall record of 16-5 and a conference record of 12-2. In their last game, the Matadors defeated Central Arizona at home.

Last weekend, YC lost twice at home to Cochise, dropping to 5-15 overall and 5-8 in conference games. Earlier this season, YC and AWC met twice in Prescott, with the Matadors winning both times.

Sophomore forward kisha anderson Continue to be a scoring machine. She has 315 points this season and is three points shy of leading the conference.

One last thing

In the all-time series against AWC, Yavapai is 12-23.
