Yavapai County District 2 has published a monthly newsletter with upcoming events and important information for the month of July.
District 2 July Event Highlights
4th of July Duck Races – Beaver Creek
- July 4th, 12pm
- Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5
- Tickets can be purchased at local Beaver Creek stores.
4th of July Celebration – Beaver Creek
- July 4th: 7am – 12pm
- The day begins with a 7am breakfast and ends with duck races on the bridge at Zuniway in Rimrock.
Enjoy anime in your style – Black Canyon City
- July 13, 1pm
- Black Canyon City Library, 34701 S. Old Black Canyon Hwy, Black Canyon City, AZ
- Join us for our step by step anime drawing program.
Camp Verde's 29th Annual Corn Festival
- July 20th 11:00am-7:00pm
- Located in Historic Downtown Camp Verde
- This free event is open to the public and features live music, games, sweet corn and more.
Clarkdale Fourth of July Event
- July 4th, 7:00am – 11:00am
- Clarkdale Town Park and Main Street
- There will also be a children's parade, ice cream party and live music.
Emergency Services Appreciation Event – Cordes Lakes
- July 13th 2pm – 6pm
- Cordes Lakes Community Center, 16357 Cordes Lakes Dr.
- Cost: Free for first responders to attend, but a donation is requested for non-first responders. This event is a way to thank first responders for saving our communities.
Independence Day Breakfast Buffet – Meyer
- July 4th: 7:30am – 10:30am
- Mayer Area Community Services Center, 10051 Miami Street
- Cost is $7, $5 for children under 10. Dishes include ham and egg scramble with hash browns, sausage gravy and homemade biscuits, and sweet cream pancakes.
Meyer's History
- July 3, 1 p.m.
- Meyer Public Library, 10004 Wicks Ave.
- Author Nancy Burgess will speak about Mayer's history.
Jerome's Annual Fourth of July Parade
- July 4th, 10am
- Jerome Fire Department
- The parade will begin at the Fire Station at approximately 10:30 a.m. Participants should arrive at the Fire Station by 9:30 a.m.
Prescott Frontier Days – The World's Oldest Rodeo
- July 1-7
- Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Grounds and Prescott Courthouse Square
- Enjoy 7 days of action, activities and fun in and around Prescott.
Red, White & Boom – Prescott Valley
- July 4th, 3pm – 9:30pm
- Prescott Valley Civic Center,
- There will be food trucks, activities, fireworks and more.
Plants for Hikers – Spring Valley
- July 20, 11AM
- 17320 E. Mule Deer Drive, Spring Valley
- Learn about the many wildflowers that bloom in the summer in the Arizona high country
