This April, Yavapai Pediatrics of Prescott Valley will participate in the annual Yavapai Communities for Kids Pinwheel Garden to help focus attention on child abuse prevention.
This April, Child Abuse Prevention Month, Yavapai Communities for Kids is working to raise public awareness of the possibilities and promise of preventing childhood adversity in Yavapai County. When families experience overload from stressors such as financial insecurity, lack of access to child care, and other unmet needs, it affects the entire family. Physical and environmental stresses shape the rapidly developing brain.
Everyone has a role to play in ensuring that children have positive experiences and that families have the resources they need when they need them.
