On the first day of the Arizona State Legislature, Dr. Lyle Rapacki interviews Senator Mark Finchem and House Pro Tem Congressman Neil Carter.
Both men spoke extensively about the session’s priorities, including border security, cybersecurity, inflation and public safety. Sen. Finchem spoke about several issues facing Yavapai County, including rodeo grounds, State Route 89 running through the Dells, and election integrity.
Congressman Carter is from Pinal County and said many of his constituents are concerned about the cost of living, housing and loss of personal freedom. Border issues include security issues, but the outbreak of infectious diseases such as measles among people is also an issue.
Sen. Finchem plans to open a legislative office in Prescott and staff it with volunteers. He is scheduled to hold a town hall meeting at the Palace in Prescott on Thursday, January 23rd.
