‘Yellowstone’ Star Teases His Very Own Spinoff

Back in July, old rumors started resurfacing that the “Yellowstone” star might be looking at his own spinoff.

Rumors that “Yellowstone” star Jefferson White, who plays Jimmy Hardstrom on the iconic Taylor Sheridan show, would get his own spinoff with 6666 (Four Six) Ranch began in 2022. Those talks went quiet after years of drama, chaos and confusion surrounding the end of the flagship series.

But now that the premiere “Yellowstone” saga is nearly over, is White looking forward to a starring role? Someone asked him this question at Comic-Con 2024, Whiskey Riff. report Tuesday.

“Yeah, I hope they say yes. It's a really fun job. I'll keep doing it as long as they'll let me,” White replied.

Is he just embarrassed or is he truly unsure about the future of his career within the “Yellowstone” franchise? (Related article: “Yellowstone” creator buys $320 million ranch. Here's what you need to know)

My gut feeling is that the latter is probably correct, but there's also the small matter of still hoping that we'll get to see what Jimmy White can actually do when given full command.

Sheridan actually owns 6666 Ranch, a real ranch in Texas where he not only lives but also films and trains all of the actors who star in the cowboy-inspired series.

Jimmy didn't get to learn growing up at Dutton's Yellowstone Ranch, so he was sent to 6666 to get some real experience. And it paid off: he came back to Montana a real man, a cowboy, even if it meant being badly treated by his ex-girlfriend. As one of the most likeable characters in the Yellowstone series, Jimmy deserves his own show. Setting 6666 at the site would not only bring in huge amounts of money for Sheridan's career (helping to pay off the costs of the land), but it could also be turned into a tourist destination offering on-set experiences after the show ends.

It's just an idea. We'll have to wait and see what happens, but it's impossible to predict.
