You Can’t Help But Feel Uneasy Watching The Trailer For ‘American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez’

The official trailer for FX's “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez” was released on YouTube on Wednesday, and it's deeply unsettling.

The film is about the life of the late New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. Drama adaptation His life has come a long way since the beginning, and for those of you who don't know the story, this comes as some sad news.

A former NFL idol, Hernandez was convicted of the murder of Odin Lloyd in 2013 and sentenced to life in prison in 2015. Shortly after being acquitted of a double murder in 2017, he was found dead in his jail cell of an apparent suicide at the age of 27. In the years that followed, revelations about his drug use and sexual orientation made headlines and he was the subject of several documentaries.

Media mogul Ryan Murphy is producing what will likely be the definitive biopic on Hernandez's life, covering everything from his childhood to his meteoric rise to success and the demonic actions that likely led to his untimely downfall. The limited series is based on the podcast “Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football, Inc.” According to Writing for Deadline, Josh Rivera chronicles Hernandez's life, including his three seasons with Tom Brady and the Patriots and his Super Bowl appearance.
