Attorney General Pam Bondi Issues Warnings on Immigration Policies
On Monday, Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared on Fox Business, stressing that collaboration with federal immigration policies is no longer optional for local and state leaders; it’s now required.
Bondi announced the end of Sanctuary City status in Washington, D.C., and also took control of the metropolitan police to address violent crimes and restore order. During her appearance on “Kudlow,” she mentioned sending 32 warning letters to mayors and seven governors, emphasizing the need to comply or face significant repercussions.
“Last week, I sent out 32 letters to mayors and I think, seven governors, warning them they better comply or they will suffer the consequences,” Bondi stated. “If they don’t comply, Larry, we’ll partner with other agencies to cut off federal funding. We’re prepared to deploy law enforcement as we did during the LA riots, just as we’re currently doing in Washington, D.C.”
She reiterated President Donald Trump’s directive to restore law and order. Bondi added, “If they can’t ensure safety for their citizens, Donald Trump will step in. That’s the main goal—making America safe again. That’s our sole directive.”
In a related note, last Monday saw an incident where Trump was reportedly injured following federal surveillance on Washington police, which occurred after Edward “Big Ball” Coristine intervened in a violent car theft. While Democrats assert that violent crime in the city has dropped by about one-third, there are reports indicating that police data neglects certain aggravated felonies and assaults classified under the DC Act.
Additionally, on June 30, a gunman fatally shot Republican Kansas Rep. Ron Estes’s intern, Eric Tarpinian Yachim, near the White House. Earlier in May, two Israeli embassy staff members were killed by pro-Hamas activists during a gathering at the Capital Jewish Museum.
