You’d Rather Stay Home Than Travel? It’s True in Washington State

Apparently if you’re a Washington State resident, you’re the one at home. They were looking for search terms used by travel “enthusiasts” and words typically associated with travel. According to the press release, “we combined the search terms to calculate a total travel score for each state and discovered the most and least travel-obsessed states in America.”

The survey found that people in Washington state had the lowest interest in travel and the lowest total travel score of 392. It also found that Washington state has the lowest number of Google searches for the term “cheap hotel” in the country, and the fourth lowest number of searches for him. Important terms for both “vacation package” and “family vacation”.

Utah is next on the list for those not interested in traveling.
California came in third, New Mexico in fourth, and Oregon in the top five.

The top 10 least travel-obsessed states are Michigan at 6th, Minnesota at 7th, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Massachusetts at 8th, 9th, and 10th respectively.
