YRMC honored their volunteers at Children’s Museum

YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) honored volunteers with a unique experience and an award ceremony.

The ceremony thanked those who gave their lives to help hospitals in needy areas.

The ceremony was held at the Children’s Museum on Sunday, April 30, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

YRMC says volunteers aged 15 to 90 “contribute in so many ways.” These include:

  • Driving a transportation vehicle for patients and their families
  • work in a gift shop
  • Make flowers and deliver cards to patients
  • blood donation help
  • Providing patient services such as book carts and beverage carts.
  • We provide support in departments such as the NICU, finance, print shop, and human resources.

YRMC also says their volunteers have one thing in common.

“They are probably one of the most dedicated and dedicated volunteers and they always give their hearts of service. It’s about being a good volunteer,” said Elizabeth Hammons, Director of Volunteer Services at YRMC.

Hammonds added that volunteers are “the heart of YRMC.”
