YUHSD seniors to be honored on local billboards

Seniors from all six schools in the Yuma Union High School District appear on Yuma County signs.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) – The Yuma Union High School District announced that high school seniors will once again be appearing on Yuma County billboards.

The 9th Annual Ready Now Yuma Billboard features two seniors from each of the six YUHSD high schools.

“The program was originally intended to raise awareness about the district’s Ready Now Yuma initiative,” YUHSD Chief Communications Officer Eric Patten said in a press release. The idea of being featured to represent their school has been something students look forward to since the original billboard campaign in 2016. Multiple students we have spoken to over the past few years have expressed a desire to be on the billboard. I said that was what I was thinking.”

There are a total of 6 signs near each YUHSD campus.
