Author Talk with William Kent Kruger
Fox Creek follows Cork O’Connor in a race against time to save his wife, a mysterious stranger, and an Ojibwe healer from bloodthirsty mercenaries. Henry Meru, an ancient Ojibwa healer, had a vision of his death. Walking lonely through the Northwoods, he peacefully tries to prepare for the end of his long life. But peace is destined to escape him as a hunter fills the forest in search of a woman named Dolores Morissot. Dolores Morizo is a stranger who has come to the Healer seeking refuge and his gift of wisdom. Meloux guides this stranger and his great-niece Cork O’Connor’s wife safely deep into the Boundary Waters, his home for over a century. Meanwhile, in Aurora, Cork works diligently to identify the hunter and the reason for his relentless pursuit, but he has little. I know. But his greatest enemy in this deadly cat-and-mouse game may be his own deep self-doubt over his ability to save his loved ones.
William Kent Kruger is writing a mystery series set in the woods of northern Minnesota.
