YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to a call that a car had crashed into a home.

The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday in the W. 20th Place and S. 3rd Avenue area, according to a press release.

The YPD said during the investigation it learned that a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado had crashed into the wall of the house. A 17-year-old girl who was inside the house suffered minor injuries in the accident.

Witnesses saw the suspect running on foot, but the wallet was found outside the driver’s door, YPD said.

The YPD also said it worked with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) to search the home of suspect Dillon Olais, 26.
