Yuma police inform community of level three sex offender, Robert Laxson

Robert Louis Lacson is a Level 3 sex offender and is considered to be at high risk of reoffending.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma Police Department (YPD) announced they are reporting a Level 3 sex offender to the community.

Robert Louis Lacson, 62, lives in the area of ​​East 10th Street and South Arizona Avenue.

Lacson is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 220 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

According to YPD, Lacson was arrested on September 27, 1993 in El Cajon, California on suspicion of child sexual abuse.

On March 3, 1994, he was found guilty in San Diego Superior Court of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 14.

Then, on October 25, 2023, Lacson was arrested in Yuma for failing to register as a sex offender.

He was also sentenced on Nov. 20, 2023, in Yuma County Superior Court for attempting to register as a sex offender.
