Support available with the new passport application
Yuma, Arizona – To help US citizens prepare for international travel, the US Post Office will hold a passport fair at Yuma Post Office on Saturday, February 15th, 2025.
No appointment is required, but applicants are offered on a first come first served basis, so it is recommended that customers arrive early. If the waiting time exceeds the event time, a cutoff time may be required. You can also get passport photos at this office.

To speed up the process, customers must fill out the form in advance. Application forms and information regarding costs and how to apply for a passport book and/or passport card are: usps.com/passport or travel.state.gov/passport. Customers can also call the National Passport Information Centre for free at (877) 487-2778 to obtain passport information in telephone, English and Spanish.
To apply for a passport, the applicant must have a valid format of photo identification and proof of citizenship.
Adults (ages 16 and above) passport fees are $130.00 paid to the “State Department” for application fees, and you can pay $35 separately to the postal service at the processing fee. For those under the age of 16, the total cost will be $100 for the State Department and $35 for postal services. The postal service also offers passport photography services for a cost of $15. Applications must be paid in cash or by check. Credit or debit cards, as well as cash or checks, can be used to cover the cost and acceptance fees for your photos.
Proof of identification – You can submit items such as the following, including your signature and a good portrait of you: a current or previous US passport, a certificate of naturalization, a certificate of citizenship, or a current and valid driver’s license, government or military ID.
Copy of Identity – Front and Back – Passport application must be submitted. The post office will provide copying services at an additional fee.
Citizenship evidence Include one of the following:
- Certified birth certificate Issued by a city, county, or state.
- Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship Certificateand
- an An expired passport.

Children under 16 (state.gov) Both parents/guardians must approve the issuance of a child’s passport. The best way to grant consent is for both parents/guardians to go with the child when applying.
