Yuma to host public meeting on ‘Brownfields to Innovation Districts’

The City of Yuma is inviting residents to a public workshop called “From Brownfields to Innovation Districts” on February 14 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at City Hall, City Plaza 1 City Hall.

The purpose of this workshop is to inform residents of the project, gather ideas and guide their vision to revitalize a currently underutilized neighborhood just south of Guis Parkway in downtown Yuma. . Participants will also discover how these planning efforts strengthen this part of the city and support the local economy.

Yuma Hosts Public Conference on

Members of the city’s staff, a team of consultants, and members of the community will help shape the future of the Old Town South Area, roughly identified in the Yuma City Master Plan as the area between Guis Parkway and 7th Street and between Madison Avenue. Discuss some useful topics. and Gila Street.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded the City, Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area, Yuma Multiversity Campus, and Yuma County an EPA Coalition Brownfield Assessment Grant to fund this project.
