The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a hate group.there is no other way Characterize After listening to them and (unfortunately) seeing some of their performances.
This is a group of drag queens dressed like nuns to ridicule Catholics and promote a radical LGBTQ+ (whatever that means) transgender agenda. Sam Brinton, a disgraceful non-binary former Biden nuclear energy official and suspected airport suitcase thief is a member. His name is Sister Ray Dee Oactive.
The group’s display aggression runs the gamut, but the most rudeExhibits include a mock crucifixion in which a drag queen uses a cross while rotating it as the centerpiece of a pole dance. However, this is not a one-time event.
It is celebrated each year on Easter, the holiest and most sacred week for Christians around the world. As if that wasn’t enough, the sisters’ festival includes other things as well. activity “Hunky Jesus” and “Foxy Mary” contests, activities for kids and more.of the group motto It means “go and sin more”.
It’s blasphemous just to think about it.
Still, this is the guy the Los Angeles Dodgers picked honor The “Community Hero Award” was presented on June 16 against the San Francisco Giants. Specifically, the Dodgers decided to recognize the Sisters for their “efforts to promote human rights, diversity and spiritual enlightenment.”
Clearly, the Los Angeles Dodgers have skewed their definition of heroes and their qualities.
Upon announcing the award, the Dodgers received immediate backlash, but they belatedly responded appropriately. withdrew An invitation for a sister to participate in a Pride Night event.
Not to be outdone, however, the Left also applied its own pressure, and the Dodgers quickly yielded, reversed course.in kissling statement Recalling the fighting session, the Dodgers said:
“After much thoughtful feedback from our diverse community, honest conversations within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, and generous discussion with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Los Angeles Dodgers are LGBTQ+ members. We offer our deepest apologies to the certain Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” the community and their friends and family. “
“We have asked you to take the field on behalf of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at the 10th Annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night on June 16th.th. We are pleased to share that they have agreed to receive gratitude from our community for their tireless life-saving work over the decades. “
“In the coming weeks, we will work with our LGBTQ+ partners to better educate ourselves, find ways to strengthen our bonds, and extend our platform to support all the fans who make up the diversity of the Dodgers family. We will make use of it.”
What a slap in the face for all devout Catholics, and indeed all devout Christians, or anyone with good sense for it.
Washington Nationals pitcher Trevor Williams is one such devout Catholic.he issued statement He said he was “deeply troubled” by the Dodgers’ decision to “invite and honor a group that blatantly and extremely aggressively mocks my religion, and the religion of more than 4 million people in Los Angeles County alone.” Stated. He urged his fellow Catholics to “reconsider their support for groups that allow this kind of mockery of their fans.”
The Dodgers players also voiced their contempt.Clayton Kershaw pitcher Registered His disapproval and Blake Treinen Said He said he was “disappointed to see the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence hailed as heroes at Dodger Stadium” because “many of their performances were profane and they ‘s work only shows hatred and ridicule of Catholics and the Christian faith.”
He added, “This group openly mocks the foundation of my faith, Jesus Christ, and I do not agree with or support the Dodger family’s decision to ‘honor’ the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.” I would like to clarify. “
These people deserve praise. They have put their beliefs and principles ahead of their careers. Not everyone in their position has this much courage. Fortunately, some people do.
took Jack Phillips for example. He is a cake maker from Colorado. When he refused to bake a cake at a same-sex wedding, the state told him he had to because his refusal violated Colorado law. The U.S. Supreme Court reversed that decision, but he is back in court.
A transgender activist (who is also a lawyer) targeted Ms. Phillips and asked her to make a cake to celebrate her transition. When Phillips refused, activists filed complaints against Phillips and eventually filed a lawsuit against him. Sadly, a Colorado court ruled against Phillips and his case is now pending in the state Supreme Court.
Even if Phillips wins, he still loses a lot. After all, his victory would come at a great personal cost after more than a decade of persecution for his religious beliefs.
But pain is the point. Follow or else. Anyone who does not agree to this imposes the full liability of our legal and cultural bodies upon you. Devout Christians and people of other faiths are increasingly in this position, making it all the more important that we support them as they speak up and stand up for what they believe. I’m here.
So what can we learn from a few brave MLB players who stand up like Jack Phillips? Pray for those who persecute you. Pray for those who mock you. But stick to your principles.
In the meantime, each of us should ask ourselves what we will do when the time comes. Standing strong against the mob is easy in abstraction, but much more difficult in the face of concrete consequences.
And now, with groups like the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence receiving awards for their heroism, we may all have to face those consequences sooner than expected. I can’t.
