2 arrested after Coconino County sheriff deputy seizes 45,000 fentanyl pills

Happy Jack, Arizona (3TV/CBS 5) — Two men arrested after Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputy discovered possible fentanyl trafficking due to traffic stop.

According to the sheriff’s office, sheriffs stopped a driver near the community of Happy Jack, about 15 miles south of Lake Mormon, after there was a traffic violation on Highway 87 near Milepost 333. Notorious Blue He found 10 of his bags containing M-30 pills. These pills are suspected to be fentanyl, which was hidden in the trunk of the car. The deputy also found him two buggies containing a white powdery substance that is still awaiting test results.

Both the driver and passenger were arrested, along with 26-year-old Jesus Mora Quinones and 21-year-old Ramses Carrillo López. Both face drug possession and drug transport charges. The case is currently being investigated by the county attorney to see if the two will be formally charged.
