Coconino County, Arizona (AZFamily) — The Coconino County Sheriff's Office is trying to determine how two bodies were found inside a vehicle earlier this week just a few miles off Interstate 17 and less than an hour south of Flagstaff.
Police were dispatched just before 4pm on Monday to a report of two people unconscious in a vehicle south of Stoneman Lake Road, about 25 miles south of Munns Park.
Deputies and emergency personnel from the Mormon Lake Fire Department found the two inside the vehicle, but deputies have not yet released their identities or other details about their deaths.
The sheriff's office said the investigation is continuing to determine the cause and manner of death following a report from the Coconino County Coroner's Office.
However, police officials said there are currently “no community safety concerns related to this investigation.”
