YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – Less than two months after announcing a showdown with Joe Biden in the 2024 election, a presidential candidate is visiting Yuma.
The Yuma District Boundary is just one of many stops during a two-day visit to Yuma County by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
He also includes Sheriff Leon Wilmot, Amanda Aguirre, president and CEO of the Border Health Regional Center, and Robert Trenchel, president and CEO of the Yuma Regional Medical Center. I spoke with several local leaders, including Mr.
Kennedy announced in April that he would run for the Democratic nomination for president in 2024.
Born into a family of politicians, Kennedy is the nephew of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy (JFK), and the son of Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy (RFK). Both were killed by the assassin’s bullets. JFK died in 1963 and RFK Sr. died during the 1968 presidential campaign.
Kennedy is an environmental lawyer and author outside of his presidential campaign.
