YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – The 71st Annual Yuma County Fair kicks off on Tuesday.
The 2023 fair will feature classic events such as rides and games, delicious food, livestock shows and animal auctions, flowers, art and a demolition derby, to name a few.
A new attraction is the Easter Selfie Station, where fair-goers can take and post selfies and family photos for the chance to win a Family Fair Basket of gift items worth up to $100.
The fair begins at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4th and runs through Sunday, April 9th ​​at the Yuma County Fairgrounds.
Admission is $2 for everyone on the first day, then $7 for ages 13 and up, and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free.
A longtime favorite of locals, the demolition derby starts at 7pm on Wednesday 5th April at the fairgrounds grandstand.
April 6 (Thursday) is Buddy Day, and two people can ride for the price of one.
For those who want to win one of the Family Fair Baskets, a hashtag link will be available on the first day of the fair to post selfies and family photos.
Beginning Wednesday, April 5th, one winner will be selected each day to receive a Family Fair Basket containing either fair admission tickets, carnival rides or coupons from the fair’s drink and food vendors.
