Yavapai County officials have confirmed that the missing woman from Texas has been found safe.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Rebekka O’Connor has been located. She was reported missing from the Thumb Butte area over the weekend. Efforts to find her went on through the night, with local businesses distributing flyers to aid in the search.
O’Connor, who is 39 years old, left her family’s campsite on Saturday but didn’t return during their time away. Surprisingly, all her possessions—like her cell phone, wallet, and credit card—were left behind.
The search involved around 40 members from the Yavapai County Search and Rescue team, and aerial searches were also part of the operation. O’Connor is described as having blue eyes and blonde hair, standing at 5’10” and weighing approximately 140 pounds.
The Sheriff’s Office has requested that anyone who may have been hiking or spending time in the Sam Butte area and sees O’Connor get in touch by calling (928) 771-3260 or dialing 911.
