Army Suspends Officers Over Threats Related to Assassination
The Army has put the reserve officers involved under suspension while investigating threatening remarks that surfaced after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. These comments reportedly targeted President Donald Trump and Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
One of the officers, Major Brian Bintriff, who was active on social media under the name “Brian Harlow,” made several posts that suggested Miller should also meet the same fate as Kirk and even stated a desire for Trump’s death. Following alerts about Bintriff’s posts, he was suspended as the Army Criminal Investigation Bureau (CID) took over the investigation.
In one post made after Kirk’s assassination, someone wrote, “The monster died today.” They noted it was unfortunate for Kirk’s children but expressed no sorrow over his death.

Another post expressed disdain, stating, “Let’s not sugarcoat him after death. If he continues to live, I’ll drag him for all he’s done.”
According to officials, the individuals involved are stationed with the 8th Medical Brigade at the 3rd Theatre Medical Command in Staten Island, New York.

Many officials at the Pentagon have stressed there is “zero tolerance” for such behavior from service members. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth noted that any celebration of Kirk’s assassination is intolerable, calling the comments “completely unacceptable.”
Pentagon chief spokesman Shawn Parnell emphasized that it’s unacceptable to entertain or celebrate the assassination of fellow Americans. “Zero tolerance means zero tolerance,” he stated on Saturday.

Kirk was killed on September 10th during an event at Utah Valley University (UVU). The alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, 22, had left several “anti-fascist” and left-wing messages inscribed on bullet casings.
Family members indicated that Robinson had become increasingly political and filled with hate in recent years, sharing how much he despised Kirk and discussed his plans about the event at UVU.
