Pinal County
State law prohibits open burning in Area A from May 1 through September 30. The Pinal County portion of Area A includes Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Gold Canyon, Sun Tan Valley, and parts of Florence.

Beginning Monday, September 26, Pinal County Air Quality will resume issuing open burn permits, with October 1 as the permit effective date.
The open burning permit allows for the disposal of plant material generated on site during limited daylight hours, according to the release.
Options for obtaining a burn permit include:
- From Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Florence office in the Development Services Building, Florence St. N. 85.
- On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, use the kiosks at the Mammoth Office (118 Catalina St.) and staff are available to assist if needed.and
- Online for customers to apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, permits are only issued Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and may take up to 24 hours to process. Online permits can be obtained by visiting: citizenaccess.pinalcountyaz.gov/CitizenAccess/Default.aspx.
