Quartzsite, Ariz. (AP) — A La Paz County Sheriff’s sergeant was fatally injured after being hit by a chasing vehicle near the Arizona-California border, officials said Monday.
A sheriff official said Sgt. After getting out of his car, Michael Rudd was hit head-on by a commercial vehicle on Interstate 10.
They said Rudd was taken to a hospital in Bryce, California, where he later died from his injuries.
