Republican leaders call for Pinal County elections chief to resign after ballot shortfall

PHOENIX – Arizona and national-level Republican leadership are calling for the resignation of the Pinal County election officer after some polling places ran out of ballots in Tuesday’s primary.

“This is a sweeping failure to disenfranchise Arizona citizens and shows why the Republican-led effort for transparency at the ballot box is so important. Frisk should resign immediately,” Arizona Republican Chairman Kerry Ward and Republican National Committee Chairman Ronna McDaniel said in a press release.
