LGBTQ+ health equity in Pima County focus of public event

Community listening sessions focused on health equity for LGBTQ+ individuals are conducted by the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and the Arizona Department of Health.

A session on how health and wellness needs are being met and how to improve access will be held on Tuesday, March 28 from 6-8pm. Participants he will be limited to 30 people. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, live in Pima County, and identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Attendees will provide information on how health and wellness programs are responding and help authorities learn how to increase community engagement in planning and messaging new programs.

Light refreshments will be provided and attendees will receive a $25 gift card for their time. The session will be held on his 4th at his SAAF’s Thornhill Lopez Center at 26 North 4th Avenue, and after 5 p.m. he will have free parking along 4th Avenue.

ADHS will hold listening sessions with various communities across the state to learn how health and wellness programs are meeting the needs of these communities.
