La Paz County Fair set for March 9-11 | News

Mark your calendars for the annual La Paz County Fair. The county’s biggest party of the year will be held March 9th through his March 11th at the Fairgrounds in Parker South.

This year’s theme is “Cowboy Boots & Hometown Roots.”

Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for seniors 65 and older and children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free. The adult season pass is $25 and the seniors and children season pass is $17.

The event will run from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on all three days. The exhibition hours are from noon to 10:00 p.m. on all three days. The carnival runs from 1pm to midnight on Thursdays and from 12pm to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Carnival is provided by City of Fun Amusements. They have been offering carnivals at the La Paz County Fair for several years. Their rides include a ferris wheel and merry-go-round for those who like more daring rides, and thrill rides like zippers for those who like more daring rides. There are also vehicles and skills midway through the game. Carnival rides and activities are in addition to the fair admission fee.

Special events at the fair include local pageants. The Miss La Paz County and Miss La Paz County Outstanding Teen Scholarship Contest will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. on Rotary Stage. The La Paz County Youth Pageant will be held on Saturday, March 11th at 11am on the Rotary Stage.

The annual Youth Livestock Auction will be held on Saturday, March 11th at 1pm. Trade fair attendees will have the opportunity to check livestock raised by local youth over the past year.

Exposition also means entertainment. The stage inside the exhibition hall will be a lively venue with three acts scheduled to perform twice each afternoon. The first is master hypnotist Taizen and his comedy hypnosis act. These hypnotic acts have been very popular at fairs over the years, and Tyzen has performed at fairs and shows throughout the Southwest and Midwest. He also performed at Harrah’s his casino in Reno, Nevada.

New to this year’s act is Dan Mayer swallowing the sword. He has appeared on America’s Got Talent, The Today Show, The Huckabee Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The History and Discovery Channel. He is the president of Sword Swallows International and is registered in the Guinness World Records.

The duo of Dave & Vicky Trezak are back after a three-year absence. The couple performs a wide range of popular songs. Both are singers and Dave plays multiple instruments. Their specialty is trop rock, a style popularized by Jimmy Buffet, a charming expression of the tropical lifestyle. We also play classic rock, country and Motown. Their performance includes saluting veterans.

Paying tribute to 1990s country music, the band South 65 will perform on the Rotary Stage on Thursday, March 10 at 7pm.

The Rotary Stage will be hosting something new and different on Saturday night. Pro Wrestling will be at the fair with live Pro Wrestling with superstars from around the world, with the main event featuring two former WWE stars Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Chris His Masters.Game starts at 7pm

While you’re at the fair, you might want to check out the food court’s gastronomy. There are usually some exotic offerings as well as traditional fair fare such as hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers and fried bread.

Don’t forget to check out the exhibit hall, which features exhibits and booths from local schools, churches, businesses, government agencies, and service organizations.

To get to the fairgrounds, go to Parker South at the intersection of State Routes 95 and 72. Follow the signs for the fairgrounds.
