Stop and smell the roses at the 101st Annual LA County Fair in Pomona on May 5th. So are corn dogs, barbecue, and cotton candy.
Southern California’s entertainment venues continue to celebrate the transition to spring, exploding with the theme of Spring Into Fair: Where Fun Blooms. The fair runs through his May 29th on Memorial Day.

From petals to STEM, the Spring Into Fair theme runs through every corner. Germinating learning in agriculture, instilling thrills at carnivals, filling bags from harvests harvested at shopping, and nourishing the finest palates with fair food.
The fun begins at Cinco de Mayo. The fair opens at 5pm on May 5, with special price admission for $5 (must be purchased online in advance; admission at the gate is $30).
The rest of the fair hours are Thursday through Sunday and Memorial Day from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. The fair is closed from Monday to Wednesday.
The lowest entry prices are available online if purchased in advance. Discounted tickets are also available at Superior Grocers and O’Reilly car dealerships.

Food, animals, and carnival are the top three favorites at the annual fair, and there’s a lot of new stuff this year.
Throw off those elastic-waistband pants – fair food is plentiful and tempting. New this year:
• Capped Chicken Sandwich: Crispy fried chicken breast strips coated in a honey-raspberry glaze and topped with Berry Cap’n Crunch cereal served on a buttery brioche toast bun.
• Hot Cheetah Cheese Pickle Pizza: Famous New York-style pizza crust topped with mozzarella topped with white creamy dill sauce, extra-thick crispy, lightly salted crinkle-cut pickles, and crunchy Flamin Hot Cheetos. To finish, drizzle a little of the ranch’s special dill sauce.
• Loco Elote Ramen Noodle Cup: Spicy ramen with soup topped with sweet, juicy corn, parmesan cheese, secret spice and crunchy Flaming Hot Cheetos.
• Fried S’mores: Jumbo marshmallow sticks covered in chocolate sauce, coated with crushed graham crackers, dipped in dough and fried until golden brown. Covered in chocolate sauce and sugary treats, every bite feels like camping under the stars.
• Fried Hot Cheetos Stickers: Pot stickers fried in a light Cheetos dough and tossed with homemade Cheetos sauce.
Kenyan cuisine including vegan options such as collard greens, curried cabbage and plantain stew
Sambusa in black eyed peas, lentils, potatoes, spinach, coconut cream cheese, beef and chicken flavors.
• Vegan Mexican Cuisine: Elle Chef offers vegan quesadillas, vegan steak tacos, and vegan steak nachos. Elchef also serves his signature slow-cooked beef his biria.

Cal Poly Pomona is back and running Big Red Barn with over 400 animals and educational programs. Participants can visit the petting zoo. The largest petting zoo in the country, with 150 animals waiting to be picked.
The Ray Cammack Shows is celebrating its 37th anniversary and returns with three new rides on the way. Sea Ray – Rocking pirate ship. Injection Seat – Slingshot Ride. And thrill ride Joker 360.

For the first time ever, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art will partner with the fair to present an exhibit at the fair’s Millard Sheets Art Center. The show “You Are Here: California Photography Now” is a presentation of contemporary lens-based artist-created photography from the LACMA collection. It includes various concepts and approaches for visualizing the state of California (aka Cali Forno, California, Alta California). Each photographer seeks to blur, redefine, and break down the boundaries of established tropes that have long defined this place on the edge of the country.
Another new attraction is Sean Kenny’s Animal Super Powers made out of LEGO bricks. Conceived by acclaimed artist Sean Kenny, Animal Super Powers invites guests to learn about the science behind creatures that have evolved to have their own “super powers” displayed in larger-than-life LEGO bricks. Invite Produced by Imagine Exhibitions Inc., Animal Super Powers is chock-full of STEAM content for up-and-coming artists, engineers, zoologists, and biologists to expand their imaginations, inspire, and both educate and excite. to inspire you.
This year’s Flower and Garden Pavilion is curated by LORE Media and Arts. LORE has worked with the City of Los Angeles and the County of Los Angeles. LA Music Center – Grand Park. Ford’s Theater at the Hollywood Bowl. Several Los Angeles museums and galleries. It runs the Dia de los Muertos Festival in Scottsdale, Arizona. Under the theme of “Nurturing Hands,” guests can experience the rich beauty of the beloved flower and garden pavilions. The LA County Fair Concert Series features 12 days of entertainment including John Fogerty, Jelly Roll, Chaka Khan, George Benson and Lady A. The series opens with his May 5th War.
