Las Vegas (KSNV) — Update (8:30 PM): Authorities said Caples was found safe.

Original (8:02 PM): Mojave County Sheriff’s Office agents are searching for a missing and endangered woman.

At around 6:19 p.m., the caller reported that the woman was not at home, and the attorneys were informed that the woman had gone missing.

Officials said the missing woman was identified as Eleanor Catherine Caples, 86, of Golden Valley.

Caples’ car was also missing from the mansion, listed as a white 2015 Nissan Frontier with license plate BKW1329.

The reporter also advised that Caples was showing signs of dementia.

At about 7:20 p.m., police received a call that a vehicle matching that of Caples’ was seen driving wildly into the oncoming lane toward Seligman at Milepost 78 on Highway 66.

Authorities are urging drivers in the area to be cautious of Caples and her vehicle.
