Maricopa County creates free diaper bank for local families

Maricopa County, Arizona — Maricopa County has distributed over 700,000 free diapers to local families who meet county income requirements.

To be eligible, the family must live in a part of the county other than Phoenix, Glendale or Mesa. Eligible households must also have a household income within 150% of her federal poverty level, which equates to approximately $45,000 a year for her family of four.

The new diaper bank will offer about $75 worth of diapers per child. Funding for diaper banks is made available through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Diapers will be distributed every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Maricopa County Headquarters Start Office in Mesa, 1001 West Southern Avenue, Suite 106.
