Major Retailers Are Slashing Prices For LGBT Merchandise Barely A Week Into Pride Month

A major clothing retailer puts LGBT-themed clothing on sale just eight days after Pride Month, as sales plummet due to Target’s conservative boycott.

During Pride Month, multiple clothing companies are selling LGBT-themed clothing to customers, many in child and toddler sizes. Target has faced boycotts over underwear for men to “tuck” their genitals, bras that help girls tighten their breasts, and LGBT-themed clothing in newborn sizes. Old Navy’s Pride Children’s T-shirt It is currently marked as 50% off “Hot Deal”. Kohl’s baby-sized “Pride Bodysuit Set” is also his 50% off. The costume was also a size from his 3 months old. Baby Gap’s pride t-shirt is marked 40% off and 30% off.

Texas Republican Rep. Troy Niels sent a letter to Target in June saying that LGBT-themed merchandise “inherently promotes sexuality and sexual behavior” and removed all LGBT-themed items from stores. I asked the company to remove the product.

The boycott movement has gained momentum since Bud Light upset customers by announcing a partnership with transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney. Bud Light’s sales for the week of May 6-13 fell 28.4%, following a 27.7% decline the previous week. Bud Light’s salesmen are reportedly facing hostility as they try to sell the once-popular brand.
