TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) – At approximately 11:40 am on May 20, a Pima County inmate died days later following a suicide attempt, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
Inmate Lewis A. Williams, 38, was pronounced dead at the hospital on Thursday, May 25, at approximately 8:45 p.m.
Williams was found on the morning of May 20 during a patrol inside the Pima County Adult Detention Center and taken to hospital in critical condition, according to the PCSD.
The PCSD said the investigation was ongoing and had not revealed anything suspicious.
