Monsoon season officially kicked off in Arizona on June 15, and CAFMA is providing Yavapai County residents with sand and sandbags at several fire stations.
Although the weather at the beginning of the monsoon season is typically dry, CAFMA recommends preparing now for possible flooding as the wet monsoon weather begins to arrive.
Sand and sandbags are available at several fire stations throughout the county. Just bring a shovel.
Sandbags can be obtained at the following locations:
Station 54 – 13155 E. Highway 169, Dewey
Station 53 – 8555 E. Yavapai Road, Prescott Valley
Station 51 – 1700 Iron Springs Road, Prescott
Station 57 – 4125 W. Outer Loop Road, Prescott
Station 61 – 1133 W. Road 3 North, Chino Valley
Station 63 – 250 W. Sweet Valley, Polden
