Former President Donald Trump denied having documents detailing classified national security information, according to an interview Monday with Fox Newscaster Brett Byer.
Byer filed this allegation with the federal government prosecution President Trump claims the former president was on record saying he had a “plan to attack Iran” in Mar-a-Lago. Mr Trump denied these allegations, claiming that no such documents existed at Mar-a-Lago. “There were no documents,” Trump said. “I had lots of paper. I had copies of newspaper articles. I had copies of magazines. I had copies of everything.”
Mr. Byer interjected and told Mr. Trump that the indictment was recorded as admitting that he knew the documents were “top secret” and that they could not be “declassified.”
“And the indictment cites the recording and the testimony of people in that room that you showed it to people who were there that day. So you said you can’t declassify this tape. Why should it be declassified if it is there?” Mr Byer asked.

President Trump agreed not to have the authority to declassify the documents because he is no longer president. However, President Trump continued to insist that the alleged “Iran attack plan” was not owned by Mar-a-Lago.
“Brett, there was no document. I didn’t have the papers themselves, I didn’t have anything to declassify, these were newspaper articles, magazine articles, articles.”
The former president then testified against him and stripped the credibility of those named in the indictment.
“These people are very dishonest people. They are thugs. They are thugs,” Trump said.
President Trump denied having seen these documents from Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley.
“I don’t think I’ve seen any documents from Millie. Frankly, Millie was incompetent. The one I don’t want to attack as a leader is Millie.”
